 note = {研究成果の概要（和文）：停滞しがちな英語多読を能動的で持続可能な読書活動に変え、それを読者自身にとって意味のある読書体験とするために、読者の思考を活性化・進化させる効果のある多読アクティビティを開発した。これらのアクティビティに適したテキストを探索する過程で、多読用読本の使用に加えて英語絵本使用の有用性が認められた。選定した多読アクティビティのリストと実践内容、英語絵本のリストと詳細情報は、多読研究者や教育現場の教員が参照できるようホームページにて公開し、研究成果を英語教育界および社会に還元した。, 研究成果の概要（英文）：The central goal of our project was to develop activities that enhance the effects of extensive reading (ER) for English learners. ER itself is a powerful means to improve language skills, but it is essential for ER programs, especially in university classrooms, to provide learners with meaningful learning opportunities (i.e., activities) beyond individual reading in order to motivate them to continue reading, stimulate their intellectual curiosity, and to expand their critical thinking skills. We tested various activities and made a list of effective activities with detailed information including the rationale, procedure, and learner reactions for each. We also selected useful picture books to be used with these activities, since choosing quality reading materials is crucial for the activities to reach their full potential.
